Jesus The Good Shepherd entrusted his flock to the care of other shepherds until Jesus returns. Bishops care for the flock in a diocese (like the Diocese of Des Moines which covers southwest Iowa). Priests care for the flock in a parish. Deacons assist the Bishop and the Pastor in caring for the flock.
