Welcome to St. Patrick, a community of Catholic believers. As our Mission Statement says, we endeavor to proclaim and live the gospel of Jesus Christ. We seek to deepen our relationship with God and one another through individual and communal prayer, the celebration of the Eucharist, reflective study of scripture, education and social activities.

Our faith is rooted in the Gospels and activated by the direction of the second Vatican Council to evangelize to the entire world by reaching out to our neighbors and friends with the love of Christ.

St. Patrick Parish was established in 1924 as Council Bluff’s fourth Catholic Parish. The original stone church sat in the heart of the town, just a few blocks off the main street of the town. In the year’s following it’s establishment, a school was built which decades later merged into St. Albert’s Catholic School. The old stone church was renovated many times over the years, but eventually it became clear that as the parish grew in size, the facilities were not going to be able to keep up. Plans to build a new church were put in place in 2014. On June 7, 2018 the Rev. Richard Pates, Bishop of the Diocese of Des Moines, christened the new St. Patrick church on Valley View Drive.

Our parishioners and staff have worked extremely hard to make St. Patrick a welcoming church that offers each member an opportunity to worship, share, study and pray both as individuals and as community. We hope each time you enter our new facilities, you feel at home.
